Catherine Rodriguez begins her first season with PSS in 2015. A native of Bellevue, WA, she was a founding member of the Lake Sammamish Lacrosse Club and an original member of Puget Sound Select, and was named a US Lacrosse All-American in 2006 and 2007. She went on to play four years at Syracuse University under head coach Gary Gait. She began her collegiate career as a low defender, making 12 appearances as a freshman, playing in all games and starting 6 as a sophomore, and starting 15 of 16 games as a junior, earning All-Big East Second team honors. Her senior season she was moved to midfield, tallying 26 points on 24 goals and 2 assists, earning All-Big East First Team honors. While at Syracuse, her team won one Big East Conference Championship in 2008 and made Final Four appearances in 2008 and 2010. After graduating in 2011, she began physical therapy school at Chapman University in Orange, CA, where she helped coach the Chapman lacrosse team for one and a half seasons. She graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014, and moved back to Washington in 2015. She is currently working at an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Newcastle.
